A Symbol Of Freedom Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

A Symbol Of Freedom

Rating: 5.0

A sturdy, metalic pole is standing tall
with a flag waving as proudly as can be,
and at the highest point of the pole
is a bronze eagle for everyone to see.

So red are the stripes against the white,
the white stars on the blue so bright,
and all the colors seem to blend in the light,
and the design of the flag was just right.

A sturdy, metalic pole is standing tall
with a flag waving to observe a special day,
the bronze eagle is to behold,
A symbol of freedom that will forever stay.

I've always been captivated by this kind of poems. How the essence of some things we take for granted are captured and brought into the realm of consciousness. An insightful, well crafted and beautifully penned piece of poetry you've got here. A great poem indeed. Thanks for sharing.
