A Summer Evening Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

A Summer Evening

Rating: 5.0

Imagine, the need for peace and solitude
Found on a serene summer evening,
When sunsets are attractive and beautiful
And the brilliant colors seem to be weaving.

Behold, the sky resembling a tapestry
In a conglomerate of shades of bold.
The fading crimson skein generates
To hues of mellow yellow and gold.

Oh! How remarkable a moment of calmness
As the twilight shadows begin to form,
Enabling one to rest, relax, and meditate,
Creating a mind free of agitation and storm.

How one needs a welcomed, balmy atmosphere
Where worries and problems are cast aside,
To just enjoy the quietude of a summer evening,
And feel a sense of satisfaction inside.

Very nice read, loved the imagery and good use of end rhyme to make the poem flow. This helps with the atmosphere which you have conveyed very thoroughly through these warming words. Keep up the good work.
