A Sufficing Presence Poem by Oyekake Satty (O S) Joshua

A Sufficing Presence

This venue of discipline
And unsavory condition
My extended desolation
An unfaltering severing
And from dusk to dawn
In this place of vagary
The besieging thoughts
Mount their frustrations
Without lasting reprieve

Along my unpleasant walk
Amidst the crowded faces
Your presence is a refuge
Of every day consolation
And the climax of my joy
Your sweet voice a solace
Your smile truly relieving
And sufficiently satisfying
Providing lasting reprieve
