A Sudden Sense Of Loneliness Poem by Ruerd Visser

A Sudden Sense Of Loneliness

Rating: 5.0

A sudden sense of loneliness,
separate and yet not apart.
Different and yet alike.
Strong yet weakening.
Like a known stranger
to the world.
Like so many who remain
coverd with a sense of discouragement.
To be truly be the one you are,
right from the start.
O thou known stranger where are't thou? ,
When the veil is unveiled that keeps us from seeing
thy true self.
What is that force that keeps us strangely unaware,
despite all aparant signs handed out to us?
What is feeding that misery and tells us to wear it with pride?
Can we uncover the real truth about ourselves and the world,
despite the discouragment that so often holds us back?
To set aside the thought that real life is to settle for les,
even making that seem to be the only thing real and true.
Untill We dream a greater dream that shakes the very foundation
of our lives.
Cause one is never truly alone even when one is lost in the crowd.
And discouragement never prevails to come trough.
