When I first entered the room
You were a distant memory in my mind

Slowly being forgotten
Slowly fading away

But when it came time to leave
I was searching for an excuse to stay

When I first laid eyes on you again
I was pleasantly surprised

Yet by the time the fun had ended
My heart had made up its mind
And hadn't even let it decide

But that one night has come and gone
And our time together is done

So I guess this where the story ends
And goes cold

But maybe
Just maybe
Our story is one that has yet to be told
