A Spirit's Journey Poem by Eric Bult

A Spirit's Journey

I sure will miss you when I go.
Does this perhaps seem strange to you my friend?
No doubt it does, but then I also know
I have this firm belief it's not the end.
Our knowledge of the universe has grown
And now may be regarded as a firm
Opinion that so many planets sown
Suggest a tendency to now confirm
A possibility that more than one
Like ours exists, and if so maybe more
To indicate when life on Earth is done
Our spirits may then seek to add a score
Or maybe even several hundred lives
Somewhere within a universe that thrives.
