A Sonnet From The Perspective Of A Modern Day 26 Year Old Man Concerning Caesar’s Death In The Tragedy Of Julius Caesar By William Shakespeare

Twas you yourself Great Caesar, made the claim,
To be as fix’d as that Northern star,
About which all others, for’er remain,
In diligent, unchanging, honored ark.
Considering this through my modern eye,
Given sufficient time that far off sun,
Will alter its position in the sky,
And in its place will sit a different one.
Suppose your muse a counterpart to mine,
But of appropriate disparity,
Connecting us out over space and time,
Through the subtle differences in how we see.
And while that fix’d Northern star doth change,
Its influence no doubt remains the same.
