A Song To God Poem by Dr John Celes

A Song To God

Rating: 3.0

I ask for mercy God,
Lend me your ear;
I need your guidance Lord,
I want you near.

I ask for will-pow’r God,
Give me your grace;
I need your blessings Lord,
I want your pace.

I ask for soul pure God,
Shed me your light;
I need your friendship Lord,
I want your sight.

I ask for wisdom God,
Show me your way;
I need your closeness Lord,
For these, I pray.

A prayer that everyone should pray once everyday. I like, I like, all that I have read of yours so far. SPLENDID WORK! ! !

Lovely, simple, yet heartfelt. I am sure that the Lord is as pleased as anyone who reads this- myself included! Blessings-TGR(Theresa)

A lovely poem, Dr Celes. One that I'll treasure too. Thank you. After so much despair and anti-Christianism I've been finding recently on this site, this is a real shower of blessings.
