A Solitary Rose Poem by Paul Sebastian

A Solitary Rose

Rating: 4.3

A gift expression of love
To one who deserves:
A solitary red rose
In a slender glass vase
Sitting on the dining table,
Next to a tall lit candle
Commanding presence
Engulfing fragrance
Perfume the entire room
The night perfectly groomed
Stirring sea of love, swelling to prove
Staging a night of celebration of love:
A solitary rose!

Firm, opened petals, passion-red
Like a blushing youth embarrassed
Gorgeous and full, inviting
Beauty at its best, displaying
As if it's making a statement
A solitary rose!

Unspoken eye messages
Lovers send in their fixed gazes
Welling up deep love longings
To brim and overflow into love's
Full expression, culminating
Lovers' first-night's celebration
A solitary rose!

A red red rose full of fragrance is a symbol of love and as such, it is the best thing to adorn the bridal chamber of a newly wed.. enjoying honey moon! Beautifully written poem... Enjoyed much!

Thank you so much Roseann! You encourage and affirm me. If you walk into my garden and pick up the roses I had planted there...it would be my pleasure. You love them!

Absolutely love this poem, Paul. Tenderly romantic and sensual, touching way of increasing passion and desires from a woman's perspective. Your poem is like a well tended garden, giving special significance to loving a woman. Brilliant! 10+++++++++++ Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
