A Slow Burn When Ignites Poem by Kishore Asthana

A Slow Burn When Ignites

A slow burn when ignites
The unseeing blink their eyes
And stirring blast, travels fast
From heart to heart
Countless worlds we encounter
Countless robots die en masse
A slow burn when ignites

A slow burn when ignites
Trees spring from ancient seed
From forgotten buds, flowers bloom
Leaves sprout on tumble-weed
A sense of roots happens too
And simmering sounds of silence
Cap the soul no more
A slow burn when ignites

A slow burn when ignites
Energy thunders breaking dams
Which held our songs captive long
Silent life, grim and dark
Dances again as the spark
Touches the body and the soul

And thus, from heavens above
We get our wild waltz of love
A slow burn when ignites....
