A Sliver Of Silver Poem by Paul Holmes

A Sliver Of Silver

Gently falling from
The midnight sky

A sliver of silver
Dropped into
My palm;

It began to slowly melt
Into a little silver pool

Caressing
Each fold,
Each crease;

Quiescent in quietude,
Coalescing
With the warmth
Of my hand;
There it rested.

A smile
Lit up my face
In gratitude
For this small
Gift of the Moon.
