A Sleeping Boy Poem by Shemsi Elsani

A Sleeping Boy

There he was, sleeping beautifully on a couch
His little hand folded under his beautifully carved cheek as if it was a comfy little pillow
Went he was into a beautiful little dreams
Far far away from this crowded world
Into his most beautiful world, full of fondness, full of colours
That would never end

Went him into the deepest of the dreams
Blocking away all of the noises that ever been there
Away he went, walking through the colours of the happiness
There was smiles colours of purple
There was glittering eyes colours of turquoise
There was laughter colours of magenta
There was tears colours of indigo
Everthing was full of colours
Colours that he could have never imagined existed

He was running on the valvet of blue
He was hopping on the clouds of lilac
He was lying on the carpet of rosewater
He was embraced by the colours of straw
He was asleep on the couch of jade white
The smiles had never leave his lips, even when he was fast asleep
Emblozened his face with the cutest of the creations, millions of colours
He felt the luckiest of the boys
The be part of those colours, draining out to the world
Giving them colours of the living
