A Slave To Temptation* Poem by Ian Bowen

A Slave To Temptation*

Rating: 2.7

She moved the plate
of cream cakes
away from herself
to the far corner of table.
Made them vanish
by closing her eyes..

or so she thought.
.
Behind her lids, visions
of icing and jam
swam in an ocean
of calorific splendour.

With her eyes still shut,
she reached for her
hard baked biscuit,
and nibbled and cursed,
cursed and nibbled..

then reached
for the biggest cake.

With her eyes still shut, she reached for her hard baked biscuit, and nibbled and cursed, cursed and nibbled.. then reached for the biggest cake. refreshing relaxing a poem that made my day, millions thanks! oh by the way you convinced me, I have no cake but some chocolate ice cream that scream for days: eat me! eat me! eat meee! ! ! -ok ok i'm on my waay! !
