A Silent Prayer Poem by Somanathan Iyer

A Silent Prayer

Oh my Lord! Please cast your sight on my plight
A pawn in your play I eagerly await for a dawn
I know not the ways of pleasing you to the core
Offerings of valuables out of my bound
Discourses and detachment out of my choice
Distortions and duplicity out of my trend
All that I know is my unassailable faith in You
All that I pray is happiness for all and also to me!
