A Serious Moment Poem by Aric Beers

A Serious Moment

I've found I crave those serious moments
When we can talk about peace and it's opponents
But to my dismay I rarely get the chance
I'm just what they see at first glance
I want to speak whats on my mind
There are thoughts to which people are blind
If I could have just an hour to talk
Either sitting down or on a walk
If I could be honest with a friend
I know this unease would end
But sadly no one seems to see
This desire that pulls at me
Just a moment to be serious
Just wish they were curious
