A Seduction: The Corner I Poem by Lonnie Hicks

A Seduction: The Corner I

Rating: 2.7

I saw you in my corner eye
your hands so large
your arms
bare;
I moved diagonally
where I came into your view
but not
obviously
but close enough
for you to have your look.

And you did look
and fixed me
in your green-eyed gaze
colors which changed
upon your approach.

I turned
to feign
not noticing you.

Meantime my bare back
and spaghetti straps
were aflame;

so close you were.

And that voice
boomed softly
just a bare breath away.

My knees waved
a little shudder
and regained
but not before
that voice
boomed again
and I remember 'Hi.'

I seduced you
and you I-
'hi'
and my
wavy knees.
