A Secret Shade Of Blue Poem by Ray Quesada

A Secret Shade Of Blue

Rating: 4.6

Pink is just a shade of Blue
with Purple in between
And Yellow is a shade of Pink,
and, the color that is Green,
I think, is a shade of Yellow too-
And Green, so colorful and clean,
is just a secret shade of Blue -
so if you asked me if Pink
was also Green
I'd tell you, Yes, it's True.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
sitting on my porch on a nice spring afternoon, i was watching a bee
gather nectar from a flower, and the way the sunlight illuminated
everything around me inspired me to write this poem. i actually had no pen or paper handy, so i texted it as a message into my phone (once again, first and only draft) which i sent to my friend. i lied and told her it was Robert Frost when she asked who wrote it...and then i told her i was the true culprit later on. It kinda had a Frostian sound to it i thought, so she didn't question it when i
told her it was Frost. I like playing tricks on my friends, what
can i say? :)

Loved this being a painter I go off on tangents contemplating theories of colours depth and wavelengths myself. Cheers for sharing karen

I've never read Robert Frost. I like this though.
