A Secret Garden Poem by RIC BASTASA

A Secret Garden

outside the house
there will be a number of faces to meet
and you shall be ready
with you cliches
to face them

it will not last
for soon you get inside
that secret garden
when the pressure gets strong
when the tempers rise
to a higher scale

in the secret garden
you lock the door
inside is the big tree
where you sit under
and then ponder

there is peace here
nothing bitter
