A Scorpio Moon Experience Poem by Sara Militello

A Scorpio Moon Experience

Rating: 5.0

A Scorpio Moon Experience

Starkly viewed from Earth
against the backdrop
of an indifferent universe
myriad stars are revealed
and by placement, record each existence
as it unfolds on the material plane:

Pluto calls on Birth moon in Scorpio ones
on its way beyond and back
prodding emotions from slumber
as is its wont

Prodding ever prodding
beyond all effort at flight
Insistent claims come due-
unacknowledged needs which hint
only in private yearnings
now reveal themselves in full sprint

Unbidden tears flow and crash
like the sonorous tides;
forcing a deep solitude in those given
to exclusivity and emotional solitude.
Kaleidoscopic seeds of awareness
compel insight, lamentations -

For loving beyond reason
but not when one might
for fainthearted misses
forgiveness withheld
rage and blame misspent.

Pluto soon goes on its irrepressible way
its handiwork done as it would
to all of singular bent -
And when it's had its say
stirs waves that reach a far shore

spent of their separate torments -
to wash gently ashore
under a peaceful sky
Sigh by sigh...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem is dedicated to all those who were born when the Moon in its transit, was in the Sign of the Zodiac known as Scorpio. In my humble opinion, Scorpio Moon natives will surely know when something extraordinary is taking place in them emotionally if ever they experience their birth Moon placement in Scorpio being effected by the powerful electromagnetic properties of a Transiting Pluto. I know because I am a 'Moon in Scorpio native'. And not all these natives will experience such a transit, as it takes somewhere in the vicinity of 246 years for Pluto to transit all the sectors of Earth.

But clearly, these are the times when one exhibits either emotional growth or they will be seen as allowing themselves to be destroyed by emotional choices. There are always those around who try to help them retain perspective. But sometimes, alas, there is little listening going on. The greatest obstacle for a strong Moon in Scorpio native is to trust; as they are too used to trusting only themselves. Everything about existence is a learning opportunity and the cosmos keeps score...It's my understanding that the planets do not make us do anything. They are aggregates of energy through which we are functioning the best we can. But the analogy I like to use to explain what this means is this: A good sailor can successfully reach his destination no matter which way the wind is blowing within reason. A terrible storm no one can survive is another matter entirely. But again, there are choices to be made before one sets sail. It's best to avail oneself of a weather report...
