A Saturday At Sweet Willows Creamery Poem by Justin Gildow

A Saturday At Sweet Willows Creamery

Smiles for many on this Saturday
As kids and adults alike head for Sweet Willows Creamery

I take my place in line
With kids and adults in front and in back of me
I read the list of what specials are present for today
Then I turn my attention to the vast array of flavors
Married to the many wonderful colors

Some choose an ice cream cone or shake
While the many daring choose to test their mettle and appetite with the Willownator

Soon it's time for me to decide
While I always love the chocolate shakes
On this day I'll indulge in the fairy dust cotton candy

And it's service with a smile
The staff in t-shirts and ball caps
Making my Saturday worthwhile

A few scoops in a cup will be fine with me
Afterwards I gladly pay and hand over my money

It's a sunny afternoon
Perfect for a Saturday
As I sit outside on a bench
Admiring as well the butterflies and flowers
Along with a few clouds joining the beautiful blue sky
The sun proudly resides over everything

Digging into my ice cream
Enjoying the sweet taste
And loving the taste and crunch from the candy crystals
