Almedia Knight Oliver

A Rush of Wild Wind

Love is like a wild wind,
a scented roses
in the air everywhere

Twirling and twisting into a knot
ought I pull this way or not?
Head spinning, heart running,
and i'm following its path.

Oh sweet heart see the flowers
hanging over the picket fence,
five lovely petals crying
out for-get-me-not!
In the never-ending heaven hangs
as many shinning stars as angels!

Having slept long nights times,
cause desire to crest, overflowing
waves over waves

Sitting alone on the riverbank
Pondering the long dive.
Billows give me a ride.
Having no buds in waiting
Love blooms in its age

Growing older against your junior-
wasn't well thought out-yet knowing
years between us are felt,
Its distance can be dealt.

i'm sure i'm not understanding this as well as Almedia understands it but i guess i come close enough. the winds can be soothing or treacherous; watch out. and watch those waves, but none of us avoid them forever.

you might wish to look at spelling of one word in this line: as many shinning stars as angels!

thanks for sharing. will it be a swan dive? :) bri (Report) Reply

Love is like a wild wind
the scent of a spring rose.
I stopped dead in my track, and
Waited for it to blow over my head, but..noone knows where from it originates and how itg strikes at heart... lovely placemet of words and only skilled poet can deliver it... nice poem....10

    let your
    Desire capture my heart
    And caress its trembling soul

this is all that counts - love is not counted in any other currency than love itself and this is ever burgeoning and boundless. Time and dsitance of youth and age are for someone on the outside looking in; not for those captured in love. This is a truly wonderful write, philosophical yes, and image-laden. I've read this over and over and will read it yet again (Report) Reply

‘…Since years between us are felt, /’Its distance can’t be dealt’

Yeah age matters but Ma’am ‘There is always someone for you’…

Love Avenue is not a labyrinth better an esplanade…sure I’m…age bar is a butt but with an end…… it just happens …

No one can make love …love allows it to happen lolol…

Since years between us are felt,
    Its distance can’t be dealt

Its such a sad, heart-dissolving and beautiful poem that I cannot come out
of its trance for several days, my dear and respected Almedia. I will read
it again and again until I soak all its sadness.
    Regards
