A Rumination Reviewed Poem by Ananta Madhavan

A Rumination Reviewed

Rating: 5.0

Yesterday and yesterday and yesterday
Accumulate the baggage of the Past,
Some bits for re-enactment in the Future.
Successors can call it History.

Nowhere do we live refreshed
In the Here and Now of the Present,
That Newness which, perhaps
A baby finds, chasing a red balloon.

Why do we become so purblind,
Wearing someone else's specs?
Why foresee the Future through
History foreknown to others?

You read like Eckhart Tolle! Good one.

We like to see things through the eyes of others and we rely much on past history! We don't have an independent fresh vision! Our vision is often impaired! As result we miss that nascent thrill of the child chasing a balloon! Instead of re enacting the past, let us foresee future and make new history! Very deep thoughts!
