Have I not got what it takes
For you to befriend me,
To be my date and more besides,
And sit ye on my knee?

Will we not find some happiness?
Will Life just pass us by?
Or will you accept my offer to meet?
Please do, give us, ~ a try

Has no one made an offer like this,
To you by a poet true?
Will you not phone or meet me dear?
How else can I entice you?

Life is too short to miss this chance,
This guy will not wait for long,
For time without you is not right,
And I need an end to this song.

So pick up your phone, or email me,
Send me your picture too,
And let us date or meet real soon,
To bring the rest of our life in view.
