A Responsible Citizen Poem by JOHN CHATAIKA

A Responsible Citizen

Rating: 3.3

Humble yourself
Respect everyone
Do unto others
As they want to, do unto them
Be a responsible citizen

Our rights, ends at your nose
What belongs to you
Please with might protect
What belongs to the government
Do like wise
For that is your duty to respect

Together
We depend one another
Only a tool for development
Key and lock of comradeship
Two consective numbers
Together, its a change

Remember to remember
The duty of head
Think to remember
The purpose of nerves
Let it stimulate
And mould appetizer world

With the careless of abusing government properties even our own things i decided to introduce this poem to the nation so to change the habit. It happens sometimes stealing our own things, thinking, we are killing somebody but it came back to us.Lets' think forward comrades.

A nice piece, well articulated and penned with insight. Because of interrelatedness of reality, there is a need for all and sundry to be active and responsible citizens. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
