A Respite Within Respite Poem by indira babbellapati

A Respite Within Respite

Rating: 3.0

the night beckons me
to dissolve myself in its
enveloping stillness...

my dreams stir me
into new worlds
where i free myself from
the embrace of blissful sleep
and still in the the binding
arms of sleep i try to touch
your eyelids to enter
your world of dreams...

Beautiful. The reader is moved in your transit from sleep to dream, and yet, in sleep trying to ' touch your eyelids to enter your world of dreams'.Very thought-provoking, indeed. Thanx for sharing. Blessings. Leonard
