A Reason Poem by J Sheba Anandhi

A Reason

I never found a reason
To run away from myself,
I lost my way this season
Only trying to find myself
Lacking perseverance;

I just don’t wanna be sad
‘Cause I know whose fault it is
It’s all due to the idleness,
I couldn't find any betterment
Of my hopeless potential;

I was inspired to dream,
It’s always good to dream high,
But dreams were dreams
With no count, time flew past,
Now there’s no time to apologize;

Now I see the epiphany very clearly
And my days are gone away long,
Gone days are gone, know it or not
There is no use to scream or shout
Or going nuts about the forlorn past;

Read and write is to improve one,
Knowing every syllable is a liable one,
At least to me for the love of writing
Which would, not just fill me with joy
But also will give immense confidence
To pursue from now on forever.
