A Reason
'Why is it we love? '
We often ask.
'Why do you love her? ' He is asked
He says
'Just because'
'Why do you love her? ' He is asked
He says
'She is very pretty! '
'She is very smart and gets good grades! '
'She can sing and dance really great! '
'Why do you love her? ' He is asked
He says
'She knows me like no one else does'
'She understands me, like she knows what I've been through'
'She is the best friend I have ever had'
'Why do you love her? ' He is asked
He says
'She works hard'
'She takes care of her family'
'She is strong and independent'
'Why do you love her? ' He is asked
He says
'She is a great girl, you raised her well'
'She takes care of me, and I promise to take care of her'
'She gave me her love. For that I will give her all the love I have'
'Why did you love her? ' He is asked
He says
'She raised you to be a fine, young man'
'She was always by my side, no matter what'
'She stood by me 'til she couldn't anymore'
'Why did you love her? ' He is asked.
He says
'Why is it we love? '
'Does there really need to be a reason? '
'I loved her the same reason you love, princess'
'I loved her just because'
I realized that a lot of people have different reasons of loving, varying in different ages, and of course, in context of the culture.
I was also moved by the last line of The With of Portobello by Paulo Coehlo, which said 'Love simply is', I think it heavily inspired me into writing the poem.

Your poem is nice, I actually read it twice so as to fully fathom what it meant. And I love the way you presented it. And your theme, love, is very amazingly interpreted. You see, that is the reason why it is unexplainable, because it is sometimes not understood by the mind but the heart does. Write more. Mabuhay.
