A Rainbow For Prince Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

A Rainbow For Prince

Purple dreams came true,
Now,
Purple balloons, heart shaped...
Purple tears in salute for
A boy,
A man,
A friend
Known for his music..
A gift shared around the world...
Our hearts are heavy still
His gentle touch, giving so much
Of himself in song and dance,
In his smile, his quiet way.
As we wander, lost, asking why
The 'Purple Rain' will fall no more,
Except in echoes...
Echoes!
Echoes!
