A Quiet Note Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

A Quiet Note

Drip drip drip;
It was midnight
Slow but steady was its grip
And the note was so sweet
When the sound from water tap
Breaking the stillness of the night
And the hours stole by so quiet
Dulcet, sweet and low
Took away my day’s sorrow
Soothing, charming and heavenly
Cast a magic spell me around
And instilled peace unbound
Such is the magic of music
Such is the magic of sound
Everywhere there is music
In the rustling of the trees
In the humming of the bees
In the drip-drop of water
Strange, weird music
What could be better
At this divinely hour
Heaven's blessing it was
Felt as if sent from Sphere
And within soul I treasure....

There is music in Nature...... But everything depends on how we conceive it. The same 'drip- drop' sound can be jarring to some ears, where as it turned out to be music for you! A sweet write, Deepak!
