A 'Pressing' Engagement. Poem by Simon Gowen

A 'Pressing' Engagement.

Rating: 5.0

A mountain I must conquer
Why? Because it's there
No more TV for a while
No slouching in the chair

A flask of tea is ready
My sandwiches are done
I'm off to do a manly thing
So, mountain here I come

It's one small step for mankind
One....Giant leap for man
If I can do this mammoth task
I'm pretty sure you can

So farewell to my loved ones
I'll see you in a while
I'm off to do my ironing
There's SIX WEEKS in this pile! ! !
