A Present Poem by Holly Jamestone

A Present

Rating: 5.0

The past is a present
Tied in a bow
With tissue-lined lessons
Each clock tick bestow

The moments, so calming
They float on our heels
Commanding attention
A magic one feels

The past is a present
A gift for us now
Just one last embrace
Or one final bow

The present, the gift
Until comes tomorrow
A memory of yesterday
Sans times of sorrow

The past is a present
The future a wonder
A magical time until
All fades asunder
