A Prayer Poem by Elia Michael

A Prayer

I say a silent prayer
No sound escapes my lips
To fly into the air
In rises, dives and dips

And yet my heart does pray
In manner loud but pure
It knows what words to say
So fine and not obscure

As clear as wooded streams
Concise and to the point
They shine like sunny gleams
And do not disappoint

I say a silent prayer
And trust all will be well
I choose my words with care
For in my heart they dwell
