to give ones heart what a lofty endeavor
to think that love might last forever
a life that is sustained by love
can only come from the Lord above

when all seems lost and in despair
the remaining option is a prayer
take this from me please oh Lord
He hears my plea, my life restored

broken hearts are not for naught
we heal and in so doing we are taught
that feelings come and feelings go
we are all survivors, God's blessings flow
