A Portrait Of My Lover Poem by Evy Moore

A Portrait Of My Lover

Rating: 4.8

A thousand cuts from life's cold betrayal
In your dark eyes a sad girl's portrayal
Pain and anguish from Love's foul sickness
To crude lies your heart bears witness
Shrouded and twisted in endless despair
Soul misconstructed and black like your hair
Screams faint but loud like the cries of the dead
Emotions bled dry by the tears you once shed
Evil comatose but subsisting inside
Alone in the darkness with a wish of suicide
