A Poppy Red Poem by Silence Dogood

A Poppy Red

We wear poppies on this day.
And listen to the bugle song.
We remember those who died.
Because of our wrongs.

We bow our heads in silent prayer.
Annd pay our last respects.
We recite Flanders Fields.
And say lest we forget.

Its a day to remember.
Those who are dead.
And thats why.
We wear a poppy so red.`

So many died.
For our freedom they fought.
They payed the price.
The ultimate cost.

So on this day we remember them.
The living and the dead.
We listen to the bugle song.
And wear a poppy red.
