A Poem About Nothing Poem by Gabriel Manalac

A Poem About Nothing

Rating: 5.0

What have I done?
nothing.
to think that I can
befriend a piece of paper
find it a partner, such as a pen,
and expect them
to go out,
to dance,
have dinner,
get to know each other
and make me a
Great Gatsby,
a Hamlet,
even a Dracula.

or at the very least
doodle me a picture
to show that my efforts
are not wasted.

Instead i got nothing...
nothing
but the knowledge
that creating
something-
a Romeo and Juliet,
a Pride and Prejudice,
or even a children's book
takes many nights and
many cups of coffee.
