but this cat waddles about
expectant of her second litter
her first saw another cat
kept and named after a poet

it's an odd tradition
to those who don't understand
this love of poetry, poets
but this time, no names
no additions to the house
no more pets kept
leaving this just a poem
about a pregnant cat
who waddles about
