A Pleasurable Extent Of A String

Black man fought to control the steering wheel
Wants to experience the exhilaration of driving the limo
Whiteman long decided to relinquish the immaterial mantle
In the meanwhile took time to measure the black man’s psych
Astounding discovery of a comforting future control sure
A pleasurable extent of a string

White man’ free relent, poor black man smelt no rat
His dormant mind limited by pleasure seeking
White man’s plan sure to extend the gear lever for control asunder
Dormant minds surprised by the slippery of the limo
Out of kilter, sick or broken bones of steel
Always to be brought under control, straightened and polished
By the forsaken driver now the maker and mechanic

Black man’s highly sought after pleasure enhanced off-limits
White man’s forte
Crazy African spectre mired in a mass of confusion enjoyable incredulously
Merry go round keeping the static minds high on consumption of nonentities
And the loss in the dazzling sparkles of disco lights

The Christmas tree overly decorated keeping the wonder long and static
Despite the loss of a year the sparkle lingers ad infinitum by the want of it
Despite the noise of the grinding machinery and the silent manoeuvres of technology
In the quest for taking over life and the world
The stall and slide take centre stage in the black man’s psych
