A Place Called You Poem by Jeff Siegel

A Place Called You

I live in a place called you
Seen by many, and known to few.
It's path is paved, yet hard to get to
Where feelings are veiled and love is pursued.

And in this place of laughter and chase
Time is deaf and leaves not a trace
Of an elusive form I long to embrace
Quixotic in mind, angelic in face.

I dream in a place called you
where a singular heart wishes for two
Where a seed of forever was planted and grew
Nurtured in song, yet hidden from view.

I live in a place called you
A place where anguish and heartache have yet to debut
And pennies for thoughts no longer accrue.
A place of longing I never out grew
A place of solice you never came to.
