A Place Beyond Poem by Victoria Davis

A Place Beyond

There is a place beyond poetry;
A time when words
are inadequate messengers -
poor tools - unequal to the task.
Language tangles in the throat and
ink will not leave the pen.
In this place beyond,
Lips learn tender new service
and fingertips trace eloquent
verses on silken skin.
