The dreaminess of a sunset
Seems almost out of this world
The colors and shades amazing
As ‘round and ‘round they swirl

You can put any idea in motion
Whatever you’d like to visualize
Mix in a few misty clouds
It’s everything you could realize

Brilliant colors of the rainbow
Over-top of a little pond
Pensive loveliness you find
Nearby and way beyond

A dark fence in the foreground
It sets the perfect pitch
As the sun drops down at nightfall
Just like the flip of a magic switch

Behind an ordinary backdrop
The oranges and yellow and pinks
Arouses so many expectations that
Seem possible before our eyes can blink

So enjoy the dramatic sky, folks
For it is breathtaking and it’s also free
Each day has many expectations
It’s a phenomenal mystery!
