A Person Different To Some Others Poem by Francis Duggan

A Person Different To Some Others

A person different to some others that is her only crime
One with a lawful addiction obsessed with penning rhyme
Even by some who know her she is misunderstood
Her poems have a rare beauty and many of them good,
One can sense the beauty in her lyrics yet she is not one of note
And though her poems are liked by many she's still seen as a local poet
Perhaps in an earlier time she would have been seen as great
But in the twenty first century rhyme is seen as out of date
A poetess who loves Nature of Nature she does write
The bright sun of the day-time the moon and stars of night,
The coastal lands and oceans Nature's animals, birds and bees
The rivers, woods and mountains, flowers, shrubs, bushes and trees
A poetess who loves Nature and one addicted to rhyme
Perhaps she would be famous if born in another time.
