A Perfect Lie In Life Poem by ginger telles

A Perfect Lie In Life

Everybody says I have a perfect life
but do they see my strain and strife
I call it a perfect lie
sitting here waiting to die
i need help from you
i ask what should i do
I just want a mom and a dad
to feel happy instead of sad
why can't they be here
this is all kids biggest fear
well, i'm not that strong
there is something wrong
i put wire around my heart
because i got it torn apart
i put it back together
next locked it up forever
i looked up to the sky
and told myself a lie
saying i'm happy and glad
really i'm sad
i say my heart's ice cold and dead
really i have to take med. after med
for all this stuff
i'm not tough
so don't tell me i have a perfect life
when i strain and strife
I have a perfect lie
life i'm just trying to get by

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

True i love this poem fits a lot of people who put on smiles just to get by when really they hurt inside. Great job
