A Pencil Driven Passion Poem by Nik Houghton

A Pencil Driven Passion

Unprepared, unaware and imprudent
She faces her fast coming future
The sweet scent of success
Not knowing of its consequences

Untold luck
Emancipated journey
Must she grab the complement?
Rather escape the malicious vision

Remorseful and relentless
A retaliating sadness
Enslaved with her burning passion
Reaching the ever beaming star

Crystal clear bliss
Withhold a pencil
Write off the life, the evidence of it all
Inevitably flawed but to perfect is grace
