A Peaceful Journey Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

A Peaceful Journey

Life can be a journey traveled by boat…
Choose to take the less obvious scenic route
across the waves where time is not rationed…
Getting to a destination is not what it's about

Take the time to notice the beauty beneath
the surface and a nibbling crane in the rushes
Listen to the divine sedating sounds of nature
As a lone dragonfly hovers but never touches

Once the shore is reached the sensation
of floating freely… refuses to release
A heavenly trance subsides like a gentle kiss…
Fading into the embrace of glorious peace

So often we do look forward to the destination without taking time to smell the roses and in doing so we may lose a lot of the 'richness' and enjoyment of the journey. Excellent write. Thanks Richard
