A Park From The Past Poem by Not Long Left

A Park From The Past

Sun hairdrying the grass,
morning dew,
Fading from View.
In the park thinking of you.

As a young boy
miskicks the football,
Father lovingly laughs,
under the dipsering clouds of wool.

Two dogs chasing one tail,
doesnt the sky look pale,
Its always colder when walking alone,
my hands seek solace,
in pockets.

so many memories in this park,
held in the trees arms,
dancing with the morning leftover leaves,
teasing the sun, with the footballs,
carried with the morning bird calls.

little boys laughter burns my ears,
little boys laughter starts my tears.

beside the exit, tied to rusty gates,
a notice, stating that some housing
company is planning to build
instant homes on top of this park.

Nothing natural lasts,
love, nature, trust
fragile as glass.
goodbye past, goodbye grass.

Memories are a blessing and a burden i have learned that First hand and all of us hates to say good bye to one thing or another because we are kind of like in the wild savoring sustenance because we dont when the next time will be that we will eat which is like fond memories and good times because you dont know when the next time will be that you will smile like that again Love, Melissa

There is great power in memory, for it lasts much, onger than many objects do. Take solace in the fact that you held them once and can have them forever in your memory. A very heart-wrenching piece filled with great description, emotion pouring out of every line.

Nostalgia at its most poignant. Warm regards, Gina.
