A Note To Leen Poem by Rik Bertrand

A Note To Leen

My heart aches when you are not near,
I cry at night, for it is sleeping alone I fear.
I miss you your heartbeat against my soul,
And being without you is taking its toll.

I love you my wife, my dear, my reason for being,
If you could only see, what I am not seeing.
Without your touch I am but a statue of stone,
Perched on a pedestal, yet all alone.

Time away from you hardens my heart,
This is done so that it does not fall apart.
I replay our memories in my closed mind,
So that I can get through this lonely baron time.

I love you my dear and I shall be home soon,
I shall hold you close as my heart does bloom.
We will once again be together and blessed,
Two as one, wrapped in Godly dress.

My beautiful lady, the love of my life,
My cherished maiden, my heavenly wife,
My friend, my companion, and my right hand.
I shall always love you; I am your grateful man.

REB (1 SEP 2012) because I miss Leen and I can't wait to be home
