A New Zealand Beach Poem by Sean Joyce

A New Zealand Beach

Fragments torn from a greater whole
The filigree edge of the country's soul

Shot sky high from the Earth's abyss
Cold and wet as a small child's kiss

Shingle singing in the dead of night
Shining islands of reflected light

Each one unique crack hard and clean
Washed by the tide's endless regime

Seduced by the moon's unseen attraction
Reclaimed by the Earth's faithful reaction

Scattered long before the fall
Rock of Ages cleft for us all

this is beautifull...I am lucky enough to live by the sea in NZ and it always fills me with joy to look out at the waves...thank you.
