A New Sunrise (Ten Thousand Nights Away) Poem by Colin Coplin

A New Sunrise (Ten Thousand Nights Away)

Rating: 4.5

The years have come, the years have gone
Don't cry for me my love
A new sunrise, ten thousand nights away

In the arms of another, you may be
The thought of it cuts, and torments me
A new sunrise, ten thousand nights away

Many things come, to keep us apart
Stories one day, I'll share, with you
Keep safe my love, stay true
In time, I'll be back home, with you

Time is a mystery, he teases and takes sides
Fold back, unwrap, ride him 'til he dies
Wind surfer, ride on his light, until he dies

In your arms, I long to be
The need for new adventure, no longer teases me
Keep safe my love, stay true
In time, I'll be back home, with you

The years have come, the years have gone
Don't cry for me my love
A new sunrise, ten thousand nights away
