A Never Ending Game Of Chess Poem by Kavitha Krishnamurthy

A Never Ending Game Of Chess

Rating: 3.5

Colorful dreams, colorless world
I see the world in black and white
All the hues have subsided in the dream world
Shadowy clouds always swivel above
Blocking the brightness reaching my horizon

The other side is always white
Portraying a flourishing magnificence
Black is on my side, white my blissful foe
In this never ending game of chess

For each of the move there is a counter attack
Smashing my credence, plummeting my powers
Creating a vacuity deep inside
An inner strength is slowly born
Filling in the internal void

The black is now ready to make its move
To accept the challenge and outwit the white
To surmount the hurdles and attain victory
In this never ending game of chess
